Takua Pa Experience

Overview

This tour consists of immersing yourself in Takua Pa culture for the day. And that’s exactly what we’re going to do: meet the locals, pick up fresh produce at the market, pop into a school and watch the traditional dishes being prepared.

We will visit the historic center of Takua Pa and take a look at the past! Stroll the streets of the oldest parts of the city, led by a local guide who tells you more about the place, the people and how the city became as it is today, as you admire the architecture of traditional houses from 200 years ago. Visit the neighborhood temples with a contrast between Chinese Buddhist and Taoist temples and check out a local school where children sing hymns and recite Buddhist prayers.
